An act so brief, stolen fruit sours as grief in the belly of the thief
Until with a retch driven, in an act forgiven, it finds relief

Well written, the poem "Indigestion" explores the consequences of illicit or hasty actions, particularly the emotional and physical discomfort that follows. It suggests that even brief moments of indulgence can lead to regret and eventual relief, highlighting the duality of pleasure and pain in human experiences.
Thank you Friendship for your read and interpretation yes that is the thought and it is only by vomiting up the act in self confession that forgiveness and relief may be obtained.
You're very welcome, my friend.
A nicely written, brief but significantly overwhelming write! Best wishes,
Thank you so much for the read and kind words of support it is most appreciated.
Powerful brevity here, dear Soren! ππ»ποΈ
Thank you Cryptic for your review and sometimes I find I have nothing more to say.

Soren, love this..I see the stolen fruit as metaphor for sin (does not have to be in the eternal, religious sense), guilt turning sour inside, until the body rejects it in a kind of purging forgiveness. A tight, vivid piece. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬ Really love this!
Thank you Tristan for the review and kind words of support. Yes that is pretty much it. Self confession seems pretty much necessary for self forgiveness and change.
Absolutely! You are most welcome, my friend!

Which fruits are we referring to? Apples, grapes, oranges, bananas??? Or Iβm just talking food into this? This a powerful write. Definitely written out beautifully, itβs rhyme. Fluency is key here and itβs very very splendid word. The title is very well gives familiarity. π₯β¨ππ»ππΌ
Thank you Keyara metaphorically the fruit of sin or theft that sours in the belly of the thief. All fruits ripen eventually and sweeten as they do but past the point of sweetness they begin to sour in a fermentation process and if taken in when sour will revolt the belly and must be vomited in a type of self confession where the deed is recognized and spit out. Only then may one be forgiven and learn from the deed to not do it again. In that alone is there relief
So much packed into those lines. A fine write, Soren.
Thank you Tom I do appreciate your review and words of encouragement
