Ice and Snowflakes ❄️
I would love, one day,
to skate on ice,
a beautiful sport,
dancing to music,
but beautifully as Snow White,
and clear as a crystal snowball,
and as cold as snowflakes,
while I shine, light brown,
not white as snow but crystal glow.
I dream of landing the triple jump,
perfectly, gracefully,
and waiting the perfectly planned, evenly timed jump,
with the world holding its breath.
And I take the last step
to make myself feel worthy again.

How many of us dream of things beyond our grasp and then we must move on with our day. A most lovely write that encompasses so much.
Yes, and I’m no where near ice and snow. ❄️ Thank you.
This shines, Petra...snowflakes, crystal glow, the breathless leap of a triple jump. Skating here becomes a metaphor for reclaiming worth and grace. Beautiful work. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
