Breakfast in Krakow

Neville

Breakfast in Krakow

For a moment or two,

I watched her

from across the table

opposite me

and there leaning over

her shoulder,

young woman

whom I used to know

so well indeed ..

Indeed on that singular

occasion she

was smiley and golden

which clearly

reflected, in the deep

yellow yolks of

my breakfast eggs benedict ..
