Two Sevens Today.

Goldfinch60

I woke to the brand new day in my life,

This new day being my seventy seventh year,

Another year passed without any strife,

Into my new year my life will now steer.

I awoke this day and looked out at the sky,

There before me was a brand new full moon

Looking down on me with beauty so high,

With this brand new day wonderfully hewn.

My new year will be filled with so much joy

And the light of the moon will show the way,

As I reach towards the next year ahoy,

With every day always filled with lights ray.

The light of my life will just lead the way,

Giving me love, joy and wonder every day.

A proclamation of joy at life and what it brings. Nicely worded in good alternating rhyme. Well done
