('Oft in danger, oft in woe')
Philippians 4 v.4-8
************
Rejoice in the Lord always
Here throughout your earthly days
Let your lives be moderate
Balanced, not intemperate
For the Lord, He be at hand
Soon to return to this land
To gather His people in
To be with Him without sin
Be not anxious, full of care
But in everything by prayer
[And] supplications, thanks giving
All your requests to God bring
And the peace of God, which see
Beyond understanding be
Shall keep your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus, and peace renew
Whatsoever things are true
Honest, noble, just, pure too
Think on those things, and what be
Of good report and lovely
And on things that have virtue
And what is praiseworthy too
So your minds set on the Lord
Peace to you He shall afford* (*give)

Thank you F.
Great write, Orchi! Popeye promises peace pie peppers pop pretentiously. Why? Don't answer that! Hehehe!
Thank you T. Can Popeye sing?! lol.
Oh, he sings...but only when the moment's right. When's that, you ask?
Don't!
🤣
Good one Orchi.
Thank you Gold.
Ooh! Saved by the bell 🔔 I was considering posting up a hymn or two but you’ve filled that empty space quite elegantly yet again🕊️🙏🏻
Thank you A. Well, I've not posted in the last 24 hours, so you could sneak in!
Very nicely done
Thank you PL.
