Though autumn leaves may fall, your light remains,
A gentle warmth that lingers on the breeze.
In silent mornings, after gentle rains,
Your laughter echoes softly through the trees.
Time’s current sweeps us on, yet still we find
Your memory woven in each waking day.
A quiet strength, a solace to the mind,
A guiding star that never fades away.
Within our hearts, your kindness leaves its trace,
A beacon shining through each shadowed night.
No darkness now could dim your tender grace,
Nor rob the world of your remembered light.
Though now you roam where pain and sorrow cease,
Dear Alex, rest—forever held in peace.

A sensitive write Gold. Will it be read out at the service? And stars, as you have said - the floor of heaven with holes in it?
Thank you Orchi, I didn't give it to his partner until after the service, it was a fine record of his life.

A poetic requiem paired with the music of Lacrimosa from Mozart nothing more fitting. I wonder how much of it was really written by Scolari. Very nicely done Andy at our age friends and acquaintances seem to disappear daily.
Much appreciated soren, it may well have ben finished by Scolari but it is a magnificent piece of music. Very true I go to too many funerals nowadays.

You are most welcome Andy
Excellent work.
Thank you Thomas.

Your words portray a beautiful soul, one whose absence will be felt forever. The music lends a depth of loss experienced by those who knew him. God bless, and may flights of angels sing him to his rest. Beautifully and lovingly written my friend,
Your words are so very kind Bella and very much appreciated. Thank you.

Both partner and friends would find much comfort in your sonnet I'm sure, Andy. Words portraying warmth and compassion so clearly, form masterfully covers all.
Thank you Dave, much appreciated.
