I thought I'd try some dating sites
To fill the cold long lonely nights
Though this is not where dinosaurs are found
The catfish orbiting this pool
Rejoice when taking me to school
I've never walked on such uneven ground
I made a profile of myself
Spoke of my interests job and health
And even shared some of my future dreams
On thinning ice without a skate
Can't fathom out or navigate
A place where nothing's ever as it seems
I got a match set up the date
She looked the part I took the bait
She showed up late and stomped across the floor
So now I just want to escape
Her filters changed her face and shape
I long for how it all went down before
Him ....you dancing ?
Her....you asking?
Him....I'm asking
Her.... I'm dancing

From how it sounds you were left dancing. A fun read.
Murder on the dancefloor Soren
Many thanks for continued support
It is much appreciated
You are most welcome Peto sometimes I get them wrong but in this case dancing is slang for left hanging by the neck that comes from when they used to hang people and not break the neck and the feet would go into convulsions looking like they were dancing
Well written, your poem explores the complexities and challenges of modern dating, particularly through online platforms. It captures the feelings of disillusionment, insecurity, and the often deceptive nature of online personas.
Thank you very much friendship
