Focus On Feet

Tune: St Michael

('The Lord is risen indeed')

John 13 v.1-17 parts

********

Disciples took their seat

Jesus did wash their feet

Their Lord and Master service gave

To those He came to save

Help us, Lord, to follow

And more of you to know

To wash one another's feet, so

In humble service grow

What word, what action, can

We share with fellow man* (*mankind)

Today? May we one thing at least

Share, and so love increased

For we are servants, we

Not above our Lord be

But we His people here on earth

Praise Him, give Him His worth

It needed at that time

And that stage of life's rhyme

That Jesus would wash feet dusty

His example we see

Another nice hymn Orchi. The washing of the feet definitely demonstrates humility and there is nothing more desired in a leader than humility. We could use a little today in this world.

Thank you SB. Erm, how does one make humble pie? Some folk need a large slice of it - yes?

You are most welcome Orchi. Never made any but I heard that you take humility and debone it then squeeze all the pride out of it. Seethe it until the anger is gone then cover it with a crust and bake it.

A touching hymn-poem, Orchi...faithful and grounded. Then again, if Popeye had been there, he’d have slurped a whole ton of canned spinach and tried to polish everyone’s shoes with his forearms—ah-gah-gah-gah-glug-glug! With what polish, one asks? Don't answer that! Gross...and oddly holy in its own way. 🤮😂 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Thank you T. I'm gonna be sick if I see that spinach-spewing emoji once more. lol.

I might well ask what’s a foot .. but let’s not stand on ceremony .. the answer is clearly 12 inches .. joking aside, I think this is pretty cool .. Neville 😎👍
