Mormor

Karoline

Through this life
I have stumbled,
Knowing pain,
But none like this.
Heart cleaved,
Mind broken,
Watching you wither
Right before my eyes.

I do not eat,
My sleep arriving in fitful bursts
Nightmares waking me
In a cold sweat.
My fragile heart
Consumed by fear
Of a world without your smile,
The smell of lapper,

A quiet hum from across the room.

Wow! You write poems very beautifully. I think you love someone. Love has the power to change the world.

This poem speaks of fear of loss. Spoken beautifully in this poem. There needs to come the realization that one can not loose what one truly has if it is lost either you didn't have it to begin with or it was not meant to be. Lovely
