Walking in the Dark

Thomas W Case

With furrowed brow
and a soul full of
sorrow,
I trudge the
lonely road of
perdition.
Providence guides me
as I stumble and fall.
Not even sex or
chocolate
can save me now.

    Excellent job, Thomas! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

  • Cheeky Missy

Wow. This pretty number capably tempts the definitions of the term "masterpiece." Gorgeous in succinct brevity, it's excellently rendered with perfect imagery and a fitly haunting, damning poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

When it gets so bad your only saving grace is that you know for sure it can't get any worse .. maybe ... In a nutshell, nice one .. Neville 😎👍

I love the pairing of the most serious with the light humor of sex and chocolate it makes the whole poem bitter sweet.

  • Teddy.15

Surely sex and chocolate can still save you! 🤣 Thomas, I've been away from here and won't be here as often due to life, but I always love your work. 🌹
