Silence

William Hromada

If silence brought peace,

the world would exhale—

no sirens, no screens.

Moth wings brush the dark,

rivers forget their names.

Lovers speak in glances,

cities fold into sleep.

A child’s laugh,

soft as snow—

the only proof we were here.

Some great lines here. (a child's laugh as soft as snow) now that's a good one. Very nicely crafted

Yeah, peace is so elusive. Mere silence isn’t enough. A more powerful force(s) is necessary for such an unattainable desire. I love this 🤍
