Well the day has come,
I will play croquet today,
Hope the rain does stop.
We can start to play today,
But only if the rain stops.

Good write Gold. We need the rain, I suppose, but - not all the time!
It was fine yesterday afternoon and I played my croquet.
Ah good!
I hope that the rain is literal not metaphorical Andy and may it stop in time for your game. I would imagine that playing on a wet field would affect the play of the ball.
We had a fine afternoon soren but I have played in rain and even snow before, I have this sign written on my forehead, it says "IDIOT". LOL.
Thank you for you words.
Andy
You are most welcome Andy. As long as one is having fun it can't be wrong.
"Play up! play up! and play the game!". old boy... How yer going to get on when real conflict crosses yer path?
We did play up Dave, it was a great afternoon finishing with tea and cake.

Should have been tea and scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam (don't forget to leave the little finger out at right angles)...You sure you're a proper Englishman?
It was a Victoria sponge that afternoon, it ma y scones this afternoon.

Bit of G&S neva did anyone any harm - and may keep you on the straight and narrow. I love them.
I hope your plea has been heard, and the play has commenced. Love the arrangement of The Good, The Band and The Ugly".
It was Bella and all was well. I have seen that grouip live and they are tremendous.
