Tune: Sine Nomine
('For all the saints')
1 Timothy 6 v.15-16
**********
Continue on in the faith, Paul did say
To young Timothy, e'en go on each day
Following Christ, He the Life, Truth, and Way
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Continue on until the appearing
Of Him, our Lord Jesus Christ, worship bring
To Him, He shall show, He the Lord, the King
Alleluia, Alleluia!
He is the blessed and only Potentate
All-powerful One, His return not late
Though our waiting, it may seem long to date*
Alleluia, Alleluia!
He the King of kings, He the Lord of lords
Ever reigning, he has of life the words
His praise and glory, let the sounds be heard
Alleluia, Alleluia!
He alone, He has immortality
Dwells in the light which no man can, so be
None can approach unto [in] state humanly
Alleluia, Alleluia!
No man has seen God, neither can man see
Christ in full light, honour unto Him be
And power be to Him e'erlastingly
Alleluia, Alleluia!
---
* 'to date' - in the meaning of 'so far'.

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 10.10.10. with Alleluias. All Saints Day was Nov.1st. I've used that hymn tune for this poem.

Keep those hymns coming Orchi mankind sure needs them and all the hallelujahs they they can get. This poem a hymn of praise I take it and by the way what is the difference between hallelujah and alleluia anyway? Good one Orchi
Thank you SB. Erm, extra 'H's get chucked in. I think that's the only difference. Similar to, e.g. could spell Fido as Fidoe, or El Fido, if he was foreign! lol.
Or is it like saying 'Harry' or 'Arry'?!
And what is the difference between Heehee and Teehee? Teehee sounds a bit more sneaky and secretive!
You are most welcome. Ah just for effect or the lazy of tongue.
Good write, O 🙏🕊️
Thank you A.
Beautiful.
Thank you T.
Good write, Orchi. Popeye just said that he had wondered where his king-sized can of spinach went, until he saw your title here. He hopes Jesus forgives him! 🤣
Oops, thanks T. lol. King-sized can now, eh? Why? Don't answer that! heehee.
Good one Orchi.
Thank you Gold.
