Tune: St Fulbert
('Ye choirs of new Jerusalem')
2 Corinthians 1 v.3-5
********
Blessed be the God and Father, He
Of our Lord Jesus be
He the Father of mercies, He
God of all comfort be
He comforts us in our trouble
And tribulations all
That we may so be able to
Comfort others anew
Others, they who be in any
Trouble themselves this day
Comfort them with the same comfort
That God to us [ourselves] has brought
We share together sufferings
Of Christ, and God us brings
His comfort and consolation
Which abounds to each one

A lovely theme to this one Orchi. To comfort someone that is in need is a loving and charitable thing to do. A great hymn telling people to reach out to others.
Thank you SB. We always look in on each other's poems! 🙂
It is my pleasure my friend
God is good on a Friday looking out for me on the weekend.
Now, the football team, is their any chance of a little divine help.
Thank you P. lol. I'm still trying to find out the price of fish, from your other poem. heehee.
Much tidings there as well... and joy!
Tidings of thanks to you A.
P says to St. F, this sounds nothing like my theme song, see? I just can't glug glug to this tune. But the words, they be beautiful! Ah-gah-gah-gah-glug-glug! LOL!
Thanks T. If P knows St F, then P must be about 1,000 years old. A thousand years of...... don't answer that! lol.
