Omniscient Omnipresence

orchidee

.....Or Title: All-knowing, Everywhere-present.

Tune: Charity

('Gracious Spirit, Holy Ghost')

Psalm 139 v.14-18

**********

I will praise you for I be

Fearfully, wonderfully

Made by you, Lord, marvellous

Are your works to us

That my soul knows very well

My frame was not hid, I tell

Not hid from you when you made

Me, your plans outlaid

When you made me in secret

Skilfully, when none as yet

Of my members were written

In your life-book then

How precious also are your

Thoughts unto me, ever sure

O God! how great the sum be

Of your thoughts to me!

If I should count them, they are

More than I can count by far

More than number of sand's grains

Comfort my soul gains

  • Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 7.7.7.5. The "!''s in the poem are also in the Bible verses. 'Comfort' can include 'strengthening' as well as 'solace', not necessarily always meaning 'snug and cosy'.

Thank you T. Doh! Why must Popeye always ruin any sensible comments we make?! lol.

                  • Tristan Robert Lange

LOL! He just doesn't stuff it...except with Spinach! Doh! LOL! 😂

                    • orchidee

Popeye's everywhere-present, and that's a fact. Dunno if he's all-knowing though. Well, he is about one thing, but we can't answer that here. lol.

                      • Tristan Robert Lange

LOL! Yeah...omnipresent...yes. Omniscient? Ah-gah-gah-gah-glug-glug? Come again?

                        • orchidee

Sooo..... he is only a expert in one thing - is omniscient in it. What one thing? Don't answer that! lol.

                          • Tristan Robert Lange

LOL! Exactly. In THAT thing...total omniscience. Otherwise he has spinach brain! It's a thing!

                            • orchidee

How longer will he trick us into thinking it's all due to the spinach?! lol.
