Sing Your Worries Away.

Goldfinch60

We had finished singing

And were going home;

As we walked down the corridor

The lady turned to me and said

“I don’t know what I would do

Without this Choir,

It is an oasis in my life,

The one time where I can forget my woes”.

Singing does this,

It can take you into a world

Where music is all,

Where problems are forgotten

As the notes you make

Flow into the ether,

Taking your worries with them.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I am a founder member of a community choir and many people tell me that when they are sining in the choir they have peace in their lives for a while. Music does this, I have had music forever in my life. The video is of our choir, I am the guy with glasses at the front just to the left of our conductor.
