Why is it that I can sit and write these words?
They seem to just come into my mind,
And I need to put them on paper.
Some maybe good,
Some are bad ,
But the urge to get them written
Is a force that I cannot fight.
They can be funny.
They can be sad.
They can be angry.
All emotions are shown,
The strongest one is of course love.
The emotive ones are best;
To put emotion onto the page
Comes to me with absolute ease.
Writing poetry is a release
Into a different world,
Where some troubles are forgotten,
And others are written here.

Good write Gold. I do my hymn-poems, but unfortunately they have to put up with me singing them, but they have ear plugs. lol.
Thank you O|rchi.
Andy I feel what you are saying and my favorite lines are:
"Writing poetry is a release
Into a different world,
Where some troubles are forgotten,
And others are written here".
Most kind soren, thank you.

No Dave, before breakfast. LOL
Andy
You have greater self restraint than me!!
The words have to get out, maybe jumbled at first, but soon form structure, and before your eyes it appears.
Keep on writing, it's like running ten miles.
Very true Paul, thank you.
Andy
You know when the words come into your head, how special they are. And there are times when you've gotten down the first line, that every other line seems to come in a rush. You say it beautifully my friend, what a wonderful world you inhabit!
What wonderful words from you Bella, thank you so much.
Andy
beautifully described the urge to write, and i concur - sometimes i am truly disappointed with what i write, and at others am glad they are out for the world to see - however good or indifferent they may be...
Thank you for your understanding words Nafisa.
Andy
