Passing shades

sorenbarrett

We are all clouds passing in bright and stormy skies
evaporated life in disguise
To shadows I've said goodbye, friend's ecoes melt and fade away
memories I untie as I kiss the sun at the end of day

It's nice to know we're all sky bound, catching up with old friends we've not seen for a while.
Mind you, I would just love to see the sun.

      • sorenbarrett

Thank you so much Paul yes the sun source of our worship. Helios and about the only thing worth worshiping since it gives me everything, warmth, light, plant life and thereby animal life as well.

Wow, strong words. My interpretation of this poem. reflects universal themes that resonate across different cultures and times. It can be viewed as a meditation on life’s fleeting moments, suitable for any individual contemplating their memories and relationships. The "when" aspect is not explicitly stated, but the themes of change and nostalgia suggest a timeless quality. To me, the poem can be understood as an exploration of human existence and the emotional complexities associated with memory and loss, inviting readers to reflect on their own experiences with time and impermanence. The poet explores themes of memory, loss, and the fleeting nature of existence, particularly as expressed through the metaphor of clouds. that life is ephemeral, akin to clouds that drift through the skies, and that connections with people and memories can dissolve over time.

Thank you so much Friendship for your review and interpretation it is much appreciated my friend.

Like clouds, we meet with others, merge with some absorb some, get absorbed by others, split to forge on in our different paths....

                • sorenbarrett

A very deep and meaningful interpretation Soman and closely akin to what I had in mind when writing it. I thank you humbly for your kind words of understanding
