Loving you feels like gazing at stars and the moon,
But loneliness and hopelessness is what i only own.
It often feels like an obsession with no escape,
The heart is being poisoned in a deadly landscape,
Finally, the heart feels forbidden,
And love is eternally kept hidden.

As the stars and moon shine let love shine, there is no harm in giving of your light. Some may choose to shield it or not look at it but it makes no difference. A most poetic and lovely write Salvia and a fave

Well written, the poem explores the complex emotions surrounding unrequited love or love that is fraught with pain and isolation. It juxtaposes the beauty of love with the feelings of loneliness and despair that can accompany it.

Dearest Salvia, my friend, this is tender and heartbreaking…the star-bright love, the poisoned loneliness, the heart hiding what it can’t bear to lose. You captured that emotional divide with real grace. Beautifully done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
