Being Alive Each Day.

Goldfinch60

Don’t ever save anything,

Save anything for a special occasion.

Being alive is a special occasion.

Let sunlight spilling through the window

Be reason enough to uncork the wine;

Let laughter echoing in the kitchen

Remind you that every heartbeat is a sign.

Wear your favourite clothes

That bring comfort to your body,

Light candles just because the night is here;

Don’t wait for perfect moments in the future,

This very moment is worth a cheer.

Life is not a dress rehearsal

Nor a script where joy is on delay.

Seize the glimmer in the ordinary,

And make each day a holiday.

Don’t ever save anything,

Save anything for a special occasion.

Being alive is that special occasion.

        Something I truly believe, don't put off until tomorrow something you can do today. A wonderful wise piece. Of course easier said than done in life's traffic jams but certainly a philosophy to be enjoyed. 🌹

          So glad you feel the same Teddy. Yes it can be hard sometimes but we must press on in life every moment it it there.
