Persian song by Pyotr Tchaikovsky

Ksey_Gan

The Kura tide swirls in a turbulent wave,

the sun rises in the sky above river;

how joyful my heart is, how light my soul!

Oh, if only it could be like this forever!

My rummer’s full, I drink gulp with the wine

together vigor, and joy, and strength-power;

the wondrous brilliance of your eyes blinds me,

oh, if only it could be like this forever!

Now night falls, the moon illuminates nature

from the heavens with its gentle light-lantern,

but even in the darkness the star of love shines,

oh, if only it could be like this forever!

If you really want my immortal soul

to pour all its love into your  eyes ball sphere,

come quickly, when it's dark in the night,

oh, if only it could be like this forever!

    This has a most orient feel to it a sense of the east. It is the rhythm that does it. Nicely worded as well
