before the day stirs

arqios

Before the day stirs,

a wash of lavender

drifts along the horizon,

a brief watercolour

held between breaths.

Step into it.

Let the cool air steady you,

let the sky’s slow unfurling

set the pace for what follows.

        Lovely said. Your poem captures a moment of tranquility and stillness before the onset of a new day. It suggests a connection to nature and the importance of taking a moment to breathe and prepare for the activities ahead.

        • arqios

          And that connection is real, however fragile it may be these days. Thank you so much πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈ

            A fine write, arqios. That moment when color chases the grey is a fine time.

              This is me stepping into my day, only changing when the railway station gets closer and all hell is let loose.

              • arqios

                I hear you, Paul. The first couple of trains usually have napping commuters, I was among them once. Thanks heaps for the memories πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈ
