Before the day stirs,
a wash of lavender
drifts along the horizon,
a brief watercolour
held between breaths.
Step into it.
Let the cool air steady you,
let the sky’s slow unfurling
set the pace for what follows.

Beautiful! A peaceful feeling my friend
And that was what the poem was driving at! Awesome read dear Soren ππ»ποΈ
A beautiful season's greeting to you as well
Lovely said. Your poem captures a moment of tranquility and stillness before the onset of a new day. It suggests a connection to nature and the importance of taking a moment to breathe and prepare for the activities ahead.
And that connection is real, however fragile it may be these days. Thank you so much ππ»ποΈ
Lovely piece, enjoyable read. I wrote one this morning called Dawn that reminds me of it.
Nice! Thanks Katie ππ»ποΈ
A fine write, arqios. That moment when color chases the grey is a fine time.
A superb moment, chasing the great away. Thank you, Jerryππ»ποΈ
This is me stepping into my day, only changing when the railway station gets closer and all hell is let loose.
I hear you, Paul. The first couple of trains usually have napping commuters, I was among them once. Thanks heaps for the memories ππ»ποΈ
While reading this , the Skies are Grey with nothing but Rain for the last two months.
