When people look at paintings where,
They don’t recognise the form,
The thought that comes from in them says;
“But is this really art?”
Can they not see the idea that
The artist tries to show?
Why don’t they open up their minds
And think of what they see.
So when I write words on the page
That neither rhyme nor scan
The thought may therefore come to some
“But is it poetry?”

Good write Gold. My mad ramblings about KP and Fido can't be poetry surely?! lol.
Poetry comes in many forms Orchi.
Art is such an individual thing, it is a form of beauty and is in the eye of the beholder. So many biases we all have and prejudice dirties the eye. Well said Andy
So very true soren, thank you.

Most welcome Andy
I think that's the question we all ask from time to time as poets. We know our talent, our art, our creativity. So yes, it's usually poetry. Compelling piece.
Your words are much appreciated Katie, thank you.
Andy
The mind does not create in a vacuum; it comes from a place in your heart. You can express it in strict Iambic or loose iambic.
Some will get it, some will not.
So very true Jerry, thank you.
Andy
