You see them in all walks of life,
Bossing people around,
Making them do the things for them,
With force, pain and misery,
But if you react they have won.
All they want to see is the hurt in you,
If they see nothing they have lost.
So try to treat each occasion with apathy,
As apathy can be a weapon
Which they cannot understand.

Apathy or indifference is a perfect counter to attempts at control and is applied by me regularly.
Apathy or indifference is not possible when encountering ideas and statements of dubious validity.
Thanks Andy.
Thank you for your understanding words Dave, much appreciated.

Only understanding your attitude if and only if it applies to your very narrow existence, Andy.
Such a sad state of affairs!
It surely is Jon, thank you.

I have never found a single poem of yours that could be termed apathetic in any way - there’s always a good message.
Even the one here that speaks about how apathy can be used as a tool as a response to people who try bossing around
Good share 🙏🏼
So very kind Nafisa, very much appreciated.
