"He Was My Love"

Friendship

"He Was My Love"

In whispers of the past, I hear your name,
A gentle breeze that summons love's sweet flame.
Memories of you, they linger on,
A bittersweet reminder of what's been gone.

He was my love, my heart's desire,
My every waking thought, my soul on fire.
His eyes, they shone like stars up high,
Reflecting the love that lit the evening sky.

His touch, it set my soul aglow,
Melting fears, and calming every woe.
His voice, a gentle whisper in my ear,
A soothing balm that banished every fear.

With him, my heart was free to roam,
In his arms, I found my peaceful home.
He was my love, my guiding light,
My shelter from life's storms, my beacon in the night.

But now, he's gone, and I'm left to grieve,
To pick up the pieces of a heart that's been broken and bereaved.
Yet, even in sorrow, I'll hold on to the past,
For in the memories of our love, our bond will forever last.

He was my love, my everything,
My reason for living, my heart's wings.
Though he may be gone, his memory stays,
A bittersweet reminder of love's sweet, sweet ways.

In dreams, I'll see him, smiling and bright,
His love, a flame that burns, a guiding light.
And when I wake, I'll hold on to the pain,
For in the heartache, our love will remain.
