I Know Her
She is shady lanes
Everyday kisses
Certain to care
Open to share
A weaver of words
Magnolias to bare
Poetic explosions
Change to spare
Investments in sorrow
Lucky in love
A leisurely stroll
Flighty as doves
Melancholy moments
Everyone she loves
Lofty dreams
A glance above
Painted skies
Writing her elixir
Coat of compassion
Goodbye kisser

Lovely Katie an exposition of qualities that define and fill in the color of oneself. Nicely done in most poetic form.
Thank you so much!!
You are most welcome
Well penned!
Thank you so very much!!!
I read this poem as a homage to a soul that refuses to be one thing. It paints a picture of a woman who has found a way to be both melancholic and lucky, grounded and lofty. It is a celebration of the "strange beauty" found in a person who wears their compassion like a coat and treats every word as a potential explosion of meaning.🙏🏻🕊️
Yes!!! Thank you! ;Thank you. You broke that down so well and lifted my spirits. It is me.
thanks for lovely comment jim
happy new year
Katie, this is self-portraiture without vanity. You let yourself be complex, tender, melancholy, generous…without trying to resolve any of it. Knowing it’s about you makes the piece feel grounded and whole. It reads like self-knowledge offered gently and honestly. Beautiful work. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you so much for your generous comments. They are greatly appreciated!!!

Your poem "I Know Her" explores the complexity of a woman's character, portraying her as nurturing, loving, and poetic while also hinting at layers of melancholy and depth. It captures the duality of joy and sorrow in love and relationships.
This is beautiful, thank you!
Wonderful ways in your life Katie, you have a wonderful world.
