And take from Herod's despise

Flew into a rage then

Ordered all little children

Under two years to be killed then

In Bethlehem and its coasts

Laments to the uttermost

Even that fulfilled, so be

Even that fulfilled, so be

Saying, In Ramah there heard {3}

Weeping and the mournful word

Rachel weeping for children {4}

No comfort, for they killed then

No comfort, for they killed then

    Now Orchi this one should be rated mature for violence, imagine some two year old being read this as a bedtime story. Fido are you asleep? I knew that this one was coming and what were those (wise men?) doing poking the bear? Didn't they know Herod had a bad temper and didn't take jokes well? A good hymn indeed but not one I would want to sing of a Sunday. I like my Sunday peaceful.
