A knife alongside a spoon, which is used to eat peas
Flea on a rat's back, which is able to spread disease
A dove with crows in the field, which will the farmer shoot
Hole in the apple, will you eat the worm with the fruit
A bullet in a gun, which one the victim kills
A finger on the trigger, go figure, which one death fulfills
All associated with the other, guilt by association
Is it both, one or none that should be taken into consideration
Beware friends you keep, with whom you sleep, in their shadow you live
Guilt by association, people's interpretation, right or wrong it's what you give

Thank you Katie for your read and kind words of encouragement they are deeply appreciated.
Well said. Your poem revolves around the concept of "guilt by association," exploring how individuals can be judged or held accountable for the actions or characteristics of those they are connected with. It questions the fairness of such judgments and emphasizes the complexity of relationships and perceptions.
Thank you Friendship for your read and understanding of this piece. Yes you are correct such jumping to conclusions is a complicated and difficult matter. I appreciate your words
Welcome
Good write SB. KP prepared a game of Russian Roulette for me but she only left one chamber of the gun EMPYTY. She did it on purpose. She said 'You go first, dear!' lol. Dunno why she complains - I give her protein of apples with worms in. heehee.
Them's child's rules meant for practice games. The serious ones are when all chambers are loaded and you have to rely on a misfire. Thanks Orchi for the revies and your kind words of support for my next competition game of Russian roulette
Soren, this is a steady dismantling of moral comfort. You line up everyday images until association itself becomes the verdict. By the time we reach that final warning, it doesn’t accuse…it instructs. Strong, thoughtful work. Love it, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you so much my friend I appreciate your analysis and review. Have a wonderful New Year.

Brief but eloquent. "Beware friends you keep, with whom you sleep, in their shadow you live" hits me where I live. Nice work.
Thank you Dan for the read and kind words of support they mean a lot
One thing leads to another. Insightful.
Thank you for the read and kind words of support they are appreciated
A very good warning. Not only is your reputation affected by who you hang out with, you are as well, as you become like those you spend time with.
Thank you so much my friend for the review and understanding interpretation. It is always most appreciated
