Footprints in the snow.
Sunlight sparkles like diamonds in the snow.
When we are young there is so little that we know.
We would all like to go back and and redo what we did then.
You’ve always been dancing with the sad man my friend.
Roll a snowball and throw your friendly fire.
Life is so cold when you are surrounded by liars.
Contemplating on giving up.
Thinking that you have had enough.
Build your snowman with a heart of oak.
Never complain when you know they misspoke.
Like is still extraordinary,
So go be jolly and make a memory.
Pull down the shutters and wait for the flash.
Never turn your back on a thing that you lack.
Fear does exist inside each of us.
Love before you bite the dust.
Woke up this morning to the purest of whites.
Footprints in the snow are a dirty insight.
Waiting for the downfall...
We are waiting in a beautiful world.

Vivid images cover a metaphor in this wonderful write. It is replete with memories of past snowfalls and walks in them the snow like time comes and goes melting and leaving no trace behind but memories. And those footprints too dissolve. A lovely8 write
Thank you. All it took to inspire this poem was some snow on the ground that was glistening because of the sunlight. Wrote it on the walk to work in my head and onto my phone when I got to work. The title is taken from my other poem 'Footprints in the Sand.'
Peace, Love and Empathy.
You are most welcome Harvey
