Morsels of stardust came to form me
Via a rather circuitous route;
But trailing from where though was consciousness?
The universe on this matter is mute.
Right now I am, but soon will be no more.
This appearance hard, fun, sad and so on
Was worth the effort however it came;
Awarded awareness – a prize I won?

Powerful and emotive.
Excellent π
Thanks Mate.
You always will be Dave as we all will be but in different formats in eternity,
Andy
If you feel that Andy, then stay with it.
When will Sir Orchi NS be no more? He's a load of dust really! lol.
Bull dust? (Aust colloq.)
He's a dusty old chap, Sir Orchi NS. Dusty and musty, covered in mothballs, dunno wot he's on about half the time, has a very wise talking dog named Fido. lol.
With a CV like that you would get the job for sure.
Philosophical this poem expresses a subject that no one can agree upon due to varying definitions of what constitutes consciousness, whether death is the end of it and what it was made out of. Do other animals or even plants possess it is it a spectrum as in Spinoza's view and that of panphysicism or is it dichotomous either present or not restricted to only higher life forms. Quite the question Dave and above all that is it a blessing or a curse? Good write my friend
Nicely elaborated upon, Soren. Many thanks.
Always a pleasure my friend
Life, the gift we sometimes forget, must come to an end at some point but hopefully never now.
That's why everyday is another day to play.
Enjoy when you can, Paul.
Dave, this reads like wonder paired with acceptance. Stardust, awareness, and impermanence all circle each other without needing closure. Itβs reflective, sincere, and quietly moving. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
I have a feeling there's no closure, though what this means, I have no Idea. Thanks Tristan.
I hear you there. You are most welcome, Dave!
An excellent apprenticeship to eternityποΈππ»
Who knows? I might pass the final exams if I'm lucky.....
