Happy Birthday Elvis.

Goldfinch60

Today the King was born,

Born into our lives

Bringing his music to us all.

Elvis was certainly King

And the day he left the building

Was so sad,

But even now nearly fifty years

Since he left the building

We still glory in his music,

A sound that is so wonderful

That makes him still with us

Amongst all the others,

The others that I listen to

Who have left this world.

So to Elvis I say to you

Have a Happy Birthday .

Good write Gold. A good actor in films too. It's a pity I never leave the building but carry on singing there! lol. But - everyone else has left the building. Doh!
Someone at a church collected Elvis memorabilia, and looked a bit like him, if we can imagine what Elvis may have looked like in his late 60's.

For a boy that got a C in music from a teacher that told him he couldn't sing to where he ended in music history a story of don't let people tell you what you are capable of. A true humanitarian as well and just a good person sadly left to die of neglect overmedicated. A good write Gold

There is a much larger building and arena he's entered, after being here. 🕊️🙏
