Sure Seeking

orchidee

Tune: Albano

('Once, only once, and once for all')

Psalm 27 v.7-14 parts

********

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my

Voice, and to me draw nigh

Have mercy also upon me

And answer me, my plea

When you said, Seek you may face, my

Heart said, it not deny

Said unto you, Lord, your face will

I seek, persevere still

Hide not your face far from me, turn

Not your servant, discern

Tun not me away in anger

You have been my help sure

Leave me not, neither forsake me

You my salvation be

O God, when parents may forsake

Me, you will me uptake

Teach me your way, Lord, and lead

Me in plain path, I need

You each day, because enemies

Me oppress, give no ease

Wait on the Lord and be of good

Courage, He shall, He would

Strengthen your heart, hear wait I say

On the Lord, to Him pray

Call on God the theme of this hymn that repeats the admonishment to call on God and recognize him. Well done my friend

Orchi, this is prayer anchored in endurance. It doesn’t rush God, it waits with courage and keeps speaking anyway. And then, somewhere after the last verse, Popeye’s off to the side muttering “I yam waitin’, I yam,” Obi Wan nods wisely about patience being the way of the Force, and it all dissolves into gulpy, reverent glugs (can such a thing be?)…faith, spinach, holy water…all of the above? Take your pick. 🤣 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Thank you T. Now look, Popeye, is spinach necessary for salvation? Nooooo, he says, but it's necessary for....... Sigh! we can't finish that! lol.
