Samba

sorenbarrett

Pandeiro of the frogs a leathery beat, in two four time a growing samba in heat
Sultry night a frolic delight, a polite invite a partner to excite, its melody does repeat
Crickets tambourine play, cicadas with ganza in wings sway, fireflies light the lagoon
Dancing under a naked moon, surdo by nightbirds exotic tune, carnaval practice in the month of June

This poem really captures the mood of a samba. I can really visualise it due to the delightful imagery...great stuff!

Just looking out at the hail and snow, thinking at some point I'll need to Samba off down to the shops.
I'll pretend the sun is shining, and my hips are moving to the rhythm of the music.
Never realised, Polar bears could samba, you learn something new everyday now.

It's a bit like watching porno, 🤣 what a wonderful visual, did you know that I'm incredibly fond of frogs? The bigger and fatter the better. 🌹

Thanks for the read Teddy I appreciate it. There are several types of frogs here ones that sound like drums, the regular croakers, and tree frogs that have a higher more nasal sound. Also toads which along with the crickets and cicadas as well as night birds make quite an orchestra

            A little paradise 🌹

Soren, the way nature becomes an orchestra here is just beautiful. Rhythm, movement, invitation, all braided together. “carnaval practice in the month of June” lands as both image and promise. Strong, musical work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
