Time a ruler, a measuring stick, nothing lies beyond its ends
In its middle, time's measurement depends on how it bends
Only numbers on a clock, measuring change in the movement of hands
Change and memory puzzle pieces time increases, Clotho spins thread strands
In memory's ice the past frozen, can only be rearranged when chosen by a mind deranged
Future a projection, wish and fear protection, only the now can be changed
No memory no age reflection, no change no detection of time
This is nature's impeccable, simple, inflexible rhyme
Smoke a retrospection of what once was, as a log its recollection does persist
When all change stops the bubble pops, time ceases to exist
The more change the faster the climb in the speed of time, infinite movement reaches sublime
With entropy's death, Chronos takes his last breath, time dies stopping on a dime

Time is a fascinating canvas on which I love the play of light and shadow who are born an die in an inhabited void...
Thanks Lorenz for the read and comment yes a bending canvas that apparently has its limits and edges.
Soren, this is precise and philosophical. Time bends through memory and expectation, but the poem keeps returning us to the now as the only real site of change. Measured, grounded, and quietly cosmic. Love the references, my friend. Well done! πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
Thank you Tristan again for your read and comprehension. Physics states that with out change or movement time does not exist so before the big bang there was no time and after all ends there will be no time. So the question of if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it does it make a noise is no it does not.
Indeed. Mind-blowing, no? The way it ought to be...mystery that is. It's what keeps us striving to learn and know. You are most welcome, my friend! It's great to engage deeply like this.
I do love your message, and may I say your rap! Excellent in every way. πΉ
Thank you so much dear Teddy for your read and kind words they always hold such encouragement
Did Chronos stop time or set time free after his demise.
It would be strange at the end of your life if you were told time never existed, and maybe in another dimension it doesn't.
Certainly slow when I was in school.
Thanks so much Paul for the read according to physics time can not exist without change and in fact time does not exist it is only the measuring stick that we measure change by so given that if Chronos is dead there is no more time.
Just joined the kiddies to watch Percy Jackson. Kronos can be a baddie. Clotho is an enigmatic character worth this poem ππ»ποΈ
Thanks so much Cryptic for your read and remarks it is most appreciated
Most welcome, Soren ποΈππ»
Time is so often taken for granted, we donβt notice it until we donβt have any left. Your words often fascinate me and this poem has nothing less of that effect. Great read Soren.
I thank you humbly for your read and kind words of support they are most important to me and appreciated
Iβm glad. You are very welcome.
Chronos never stops the time soren, but in our minds it can it can go at varying speeds all the time.
Andy
Thank you Andy and yes it most certainly does
