Tune: Darwall
('Ye holy angels bright')
Revelation 21 v.1-7
*********
John saw new heavens. new earth
The Lord brought them to birth
First heavens, first earth passed
Away, they did not last
There no more sea to separate
God brings to pass purposes great
Then the holy city
New Jerusalem, see
Comes down from God from heaven
As bride for husband then
A great voice said, Behold, it be
God dwells with men eternally
He shall be with them, they
Shall be His people ay* (*for ever)
He shall be their God, He
Wipes away all tears, see
There no more death, nor sorrow, nor
Pain, these former things gone e'ermore
The Lord God on His throne
Said, I, and I alone
Behold, I make all things
New, and unto man brings
True and faithful words, they shall be
Established, stand e'erlastingly
He Alpha, Omega
Beginning and end He
Will give to the thirsty
Free drink from fountain pure
Of water of life, refreshment
Blessings unto His people sent

A hymn from Revelations Orchi at least this is not the scary part of the book. Good write my friend
Thank you SB.
You are most welcome
Yes, I suppose it's one of the 'nice' bits. Didn't spot any loud voices, thunderings, lightnings, or earthquakes in this one! That's how KP reacts to me when I dish her up sewage. Dunno why she complains. As I say, I generously give her double helpings. lol
Is it Kosher?
Yes lol.
Orchi, this is hymnody done right. Faithful to the text, clear in promise, and full of hope. Revelation sings here without strain. And when we reach the fountain…the free drink…the refreshment sent…I can’t help but hear Darwall whispering, glug glug, as heaven pours without measure. It's seems P has even influenced folks in the great beyond! 🤣 Thank you for the music and the mercy, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you T. Agh, P shows us no mercy. Glugging continuing for eternity?! lol.
Never will the glugging go...or be gone! LOL!That P is being particularly pernicious about it!
Blessings to you as well Orchi.
Andy
