Cast your line.
Have you ever found out something you never knew?
You wished so hard it would be true,
But that couldn’t happen, could it really?
Sometimes amazing happens so easily.
You talk and you talk and deeper you fall.
A smile, a laugh, the normalness of it all.
A life so pleasant, eyes so closed,
Then one day you suddenly know.
The truth will out, other lies won’t matter.
You cast away your doubts and love forever.
Who would have thought this could happen to me?
I never did, but now it strikes me like an epiphany.
Strike the hammer while the iron is hot.
Make the best of what it is you have got.
Cast your line far and wide.
Eyes were wide shut, have now realised.
I could be happy, if I wasn’t me.
I could be loved if I would let myself be loved.
She could have given me everything I need.
Don’t close the book on the possibility of love.
