Tune: Trees of the field
('You shall go out with joy')
Psalm 68 v.28-35 parts
********
Your God has commanded
Your strength, and has you led
Strengthen, O God, of what here you
Have wrought unto us true
Sing to God, kingdoms
He the one who ransoms
Prepares for us heavenly homes
Chorus/Refrain
Ascribe you strength unto our God, He great
He awesome, powerful, royal estate
Trust in Him, not to earthly fancy, fate
On Him patient do wait

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem with the Verse in 6.6.7.6. 5.6.6. and the Chorus/Refrain in 10.10.10.6. The original hymn has only one stanza, which is as far I got too! A tricky one to write with the irregular format to it.

A short song? Nicely written
Thank you SB. Yes - though one verse and chorus repeated - about 5 million times in some churches!
It gets tiresome if the quality is dull and bland, saying 'Oh yeah,' 'whoopee,' and other rather 'common' stuff! lol.
Most welcome Orchi yea it could be even more extreme I watched the singer Dimash sing a several minute version of Ava Maria with no words at all.
Excellent write, O👍🏻🕊️🙏🏻
Thank you A.
Good one Orchi.
Thank you Gold.
You, dear friend, are a hymn-poem tour de force. We know a few others who may be a tour de farce. Ah-gah-gah-gah-glug-glug! 🤣 Great job, Orchi! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you T. Doh! That farcical spinach-guzzling sailor-man! lol.
Incorrigible, I tell you!
Will they ever stop selling spinach, or wool for knitting, or sabres?! lol.
