Separation and Light

soheil khodaparasti

Separation and Light

The tear of a helpless child

Weighing the sorrow of parting and exile
Stretching the length of bewilderment and wonder
Through the depth of nights steeped in suffering
By the cold of powerless hands

While the world
Passes by
Indifferent
To their side

Yet

The generous ray of the sky
With words of light
Whispers softly to the heart:
We are here

Exile such an old practice and even in modern times as Napoleon. A great read that speaks to an old solution to undesirables. It seems long outdated and no longer acceptable but still practiced. A social problem that needs a solution. Well done
