I see them going about their lives,
Each day they go to work.
Some enjoy their work,
Others do not.
In their working week
They look forward,
Look forward to that day,
That day after Friday,
When their work for the week
Is complete.
Saturday is a special day.
May have said to me
I am glad it is Saturday,
I just look at them and smile.
Having worked my forty seven years
And one month,
Never forget the one month!
In my life now,
Every day’s a Saturday.

Twenty six years I've been a burden on Australia's taxpayers, and they still tell me "Have a good weekend!".
A write with perspective, Andy.
Well as you know nowadays Dave weekends last for seven days.
Thanks for your kind words.
Andy
Precisely right - though who's counting?
Good write Gold.
Thanks Orchi.
Retirement now different for most that can not afford to retire anymore shifts from one job to another. You seem quite content in your retirement Andy I wish that others were also so lucky.
Thank you soren. Yes I feel I am very lucky, life is good but I worked hard all me working life to get to be this way.
Andy
You are most welcome Andy enjoy the deserved golden years
Cheeky Andy, yes I'm the one who has to work in a toxic environment some days, I love working I love my profession however some days I'd rather be like you, not a bloody care in the world lol 🤣 💜
I too enjoyed work in my time there and I feel I earned my way to have 'not a care in the world' LOL
Andy
