ache.

lunarchloedip

every child
learned how to fly
every bystander
questions why
we shelter these men
purposely allow them
dignity
as though they did not
strip children
of their dignity
innocence
and life

every
ache
i have ever felt
is barely a pinprick in comparison
when i think, the children
pure, kind
looking at the world with
stars in their eyes
the world, this island
run by satanic, cannibalistic fanatics
sinking their fingers and teeth
into what should have been
free

i have never been
so angry
the words do not cut it
usually soften my poems
but fuck it
i will not stop
until the world collapses
to its core
and peace is restored

your sadistic smiles
dripping with greed
selfishness, corruption
assault, abduction
i will riot until
your voices are quiet
until the pavement cracks
beneath your feet
and swallows you whole

i cannot be consoled
i grieve
for every child
that should have been free.

A hard topic. The taking advantage of the helpless is a sore spot and not easily ignored. A poem that contains a sense of anger and righteous rage over exploitation of children. Nicely written
