For weeks it had rained,
Every day it poured,
The river rose and flooded the fields.
But suddenly it was different,
Yesterday it did not rain.
I awoke and looked out
There was frost all over,
The sun shone on me.
So we went for a walk,
A walk in the frost and sun.
This was my type of day,
The days I always enjoy,
As we walked along the path
Trees and bushes at our side
The birds sang their songs,
Sang their songs to us,
Squirrels scampered near to us.
I was once more with nature
In the middle of its wonder,
Its beautiful artwork
And wonderful symphonic sounds.
A glorious time on this day
Thoroughly enjoyed.
I awake again this morning
And once more it is raining,
So yesterday was remembered
And hopefully more days will come,
More days like that one was.

Good write Gold. We escaped the frost that day in our area.
Thank you Orchi.
A day frozen in memory. Nicely retold Andy.
Very true soren, thank you.

You are most welcome Andy
When you get the chance you certainly know how to extract maximum pleasure out of a simple day, Andy.
Your words are much appreciated Dave, thank you so much.

You always (well mostly) appreciate my words, Andy. Even when (on rare occasions) you don't, but are too well mannered to mention it, please know that ultimately I meant well...
I know that you always mean well Dave, I am always positive and try to bring goodness to all.

Lovely Andy. 🌹
Thank you Teddy.

the way you capture a single day’s light and frost, letting it linger like a memory pressed between pages. Your walk with nature feels lived, felt, and deeply cherished.
Thank you for your fine words Thomas, very much appreciated.
