Declaring His Deeds

Tune: Gaute Baume Bringen = Good trees bear fruit.

('Christian, dost thou see them?')

Psalm 116 v.1-9

*********

I love the Lord, for He

Did come to help me

Heard my supplication

In tribulation

Because He has inclined

His ear to me, find

I my relief, shall call

On Him my life all

Sorrows of death compassed

Me, pains of death passed

Over me, and trouble

I found, prone to fall

Then called I on the name

Of the Lord, the same

Beseeched Him to me save

And so thanks I gave

Gracious is the Lord, He

Also righteous be

Our God, He merciful

Preserves the humble

I was brought low, and He

Saved me, and helped me

Return to your rest, soul

The Lord makes you whole

He dealt bountifully

With my soul, I see

He saved my soul from death

Still gives me my breath

Dried my tears when I wept

My pathway has kept

I will walk with Him, sing

In land of living

Thank you SB. Choosing out some Psalms, or parts of them, as I read through them. Maybe a min-series of poems.
