Hate
Love
Leer
Hope
Bait
Dove (peace)
Fear
Cope
Take your choice on this braided rope
Our vision constricted through a microscope
Expanded through the lens of a telescope

Words are certainly powerful. They can destroy a person or build them up.This list would take a lifetime to analyse.Certainly enjoyable to read
Thank you David for the review and words of support they are most appreciated. The choice is always ours
An example of economy of words. Enjoyed the read very much- every word earned it's place.
Thank you Rebellion I appreciate your review and comment
spectrum of human emotions.
Thank you Friendship I appreciate your input
See beyond the innerscope...
So true the meaning captured. Appreciate the read and interpretation
this twists like barbed wire around the heart—sharp, relentless, and honest.
I see the rope pulling tight, yet somehow your words still let light slip through the cracks.
I thank you for your most poetic response Thomas my friend you are the best
Love and hate being the most powerful.
Betrayal brings them both into focus and this is when the words really show their true meaning.
Maybe not take the ex for a coffee now.
Thank you so much my friend for the review and words of wisdom they are deeply valued. Go ahead and take the ex don't let me spoil your day
A fine write SB. I got a 6 letter word for KP. Well, a 4 letter word too. They are: Menu - Sewage. heehee. You knew I would say that!
Thanks Orchi never had counted the letters in sewage but some day I will have to work on a poem with six letters.
Soren, this is deceptively simple. The four-letter pairings set the stakes fast, and “braided rope” makes the tension tangible. Then you widen the whole thing with microscope and telescope…constriction versus expansion. A tight structure with a clean, thoughtful finish. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks so much Tristan your read and comment are most appreciated my friend.
Most welcome, my friend.
This says it all. What gives life & power to these words is humanity's greatest power - choice.
Thank you so much for the read and kind words of understanding
Another one of your clever poems! I like the deeper meaning of choosing where your perspective lies, as you have options to both. Hopefully most of us make the choice to be optimistic. Great work Soren.
Strange how the negative words are in bold print, like how a Newspaper would have it.
The Positive so thin like starving people and much ignored.
Thank you so much Kevin glad you picked that up. We tend to focus on the negatives much more than the positives.
Love, hope, peace and cope for me soren, life is wonderful.
Andy
Thanks so much Andy there was little doubt in my mind which you would choose
Very artistic, Soren.
Thank you Dave don't often do this but it seemed something different and a good place to try it
