22 Again!

orchidee

Woof! Says Fido to me

You're surely not 21 again

You must be 22 by now!

C'mon now, tell us your age

But no-one knows, not even me

Same as for Goldfinch

Not to take his name in vain - but he knows!

We're both millions of years old

We survived the dinosaurs

Our middle name is 'Fossil'

Yes, we attend Museum and Antiques Shows

We're part of the exhibits!

And were there at 1066 at Battle of Hastings (in the UK)

We were in fact the first men on the moon

We stepped out from beyond the dark side of it

To greet the earthly astronauts in 1969

Or are we both human?

We might be half-human, half something-else

Half-human, half-guinea pig (as in my pic)

Though I've spent about 5 million years

Telling ya they are piggies

Not rats, mice, gerbils - nor elephants

(Randomly adding elephants in there)

So - Carpe Diem to ya

But don't spend too long finding out what it means

Or else it'll be night

And you'll have no day left to seize! Doh!

Aww- why they say - whoever 'they' are:

Your birthday again? It's bad enough that it happened!

Why did ya have to turn up and sing?

Or so-called sing?!

Heehee

Woof! this must stop, says Fido

This self-denigrating

This kicking yourself around the room

Like some old football

This rubbishing of yourself

This counting yourself as nothing

OK, I will stop!

I will apply it all to KP

As I been doing for countless years already!

Ya can wish me many more years

Of nuttiness and eccentricity

In me dafter moments!

LOL.

My congratulations Orchi I've taken to subtracting a year each year as for those Guineapigs I always thought they were bed slippers
