Between the Fracture and the Dawn

Friendship

Between the Fracture and the Dawn

I need to trust you again,
my heart a cracked mirror‑pane—
each shard reflects a moment
when words fell soft as snow,
when silence grew louder than thunder.

My breath still carries the echo
of the promise once whispered,
a thread of gold tangled in the wind,
waiting to be rewound,
to be knotted anew.

I stand on the edge of doubt,
feet bare on a floor of old regrets,
yet the sunrise paints the floorboards
with a light that does not judge—
only invites, only heals.

So I offer you the fragile key
that trembles in my palm,
a key forged from remorse, from hope,
from the stubborn belief
that love, even bruised, can learn to trust again.

Take it, and let our shadows merge,
let the night’s cold dissolve into the day,
for in the quiet rebuilding,
my soul learns once more to believe
in the gentle certainty of you

A most lovely poem that reaches out a hand and awaits someone to reach back. It is a call of hope that someone will respond with something that can be trusted and grow. Well done and most hopeful. It is raw as well as soft and a fave

My friend, this moves from fracture to invitation with such quiet strength. The imagery is delicate, but the resolve underneath it is firm. It doesn’t rush healing…it chooses it. There’s humility, hope, and maturity woven together here. Beautifully crafted. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Forgiveness and second chances are always tough.
              Once bitten and all that.
If it can be put back together and made stonger, then the magic can return and the fracture healed.
