Evolution of Sorts

Teddy.15

It was only a matter of time
now Raven, he's back
he's siting on my windowsill
somber  feathers of black
this time it is different
because I already know
so I told my Raven
now you can go
he said in a whisper
"oh come now be strong,
everything has its end
and one day will be gone"
and as I turned to see the sunlight
the sunlight that shone...

I looked down on the garden
and saw a magnificent Swan.

Life is so good Teddy, your Raven is a wise bird.

Indeed Teddy one day everything will be gone one day. Never the less that does not prevent one from enjoying the day today. A lovely write where one is left with the view of a beautiful swan today.

Thank you dear sorrenbarret brand new off the press. 🌹

If the Raven goes, is that bad luck.
Mind you, to be replaced by a Swan, that can only be good.

          • Teddy.15

so if you read it like the swan is actually someone you love that has died, does it read different? Reincarnation? Thank you dear Paul. 🌹

Teddy, what works here is the movement. The Raven on the sill, the whispered inevitability, the sunlight pulling your gaze away…then the swan. It doesn’t deny the end…it reframes it. Black to white. Omen to grace. A soft but meaningful turn. Another lovely addition to your Raven collection, my dear friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Awe, my dear Tristan out of all the writers you get the meaning of this collection more than anyone, Raven isn't dark he is my friend who gently tells me of the passing of someone, but today I already know, and Infront of me there is a beautiful swan. Thank you for your comprehension toward this very important character that was born out of my grief. 🌹

You are most welcome, dearest Teddy. Indeed, I am familiar with my own Raven...and reading your poems have helped me articulate it inwardly that way. So...thank YOU for that beautiful gift, my dear friend. 🌹🐦‍⬛
