Anew

Aa Harvey

Anew

I already miss you and you’ve only just gone.

I wish I could kiss you, but that chance has come,

And passed us by like a meteorite.

It crashes to the Earth with a lightning fast goodbye and a smile.

And what a smile it was.

Our love turned to dust.

It could have been magic,

But it ends up being tragic,

Because of who we could have been.

Now I’m just a has-been.

Gone to the never.

Questioning whether I will ever have someone to say I love you.

Someday someway there must be a way,

To begin anew.

A feeling that many of us have had at one time or another. Does anyone really know us or love us. False starts and dying flames lead us to ask. Well done
