Peace Doves?

Goldfinch60

Doves of peace they are called;

Pristine white for purity.

Not in our garden they aren’t!

Steal food from the wild birds!

Assault the birds with beaks of wrath!

No matter how we scare them,

They persevere with their errant ways.

Reminding me of politicians,

Going their own way

Without thought or care for others.

Politicians and white doves,

Should be eradicated from our lives.

    Through metaphor this poem dives deep into the behaviors of not only doves but certain individuals. You have developed it well and the piece fits well in its many facets like a puzzle piece completing the picture. White doves I hear are overpopulated because of man not nature and like man are highly adaptive to their environment that they then exploit leaving their excrement behind. Nicely written my friend

          Unfortunately we need leaders hence the politicians cannot be eradicated however much we would like it to happen

          • Goldfinch60

            Unfortunately that is so true Nafisa.
