I taste your breath
A trilogy of wine partaken
Edges of crusty bread
Shredded Romano
They feed me as you
With your intricacies
Light pivots on a chest
Of jewels
Regal in all eternities
A bliss that blows
As a harbor’s gale
A drop of you for my thirst
An inch of you for my repair

This poem captures the imagination and pulls it to dark reaches. A sacrament the very idea shakes the soul when thought about. A romantic cannibalism of love. Yet is this not all religion where we worship our love making them our 'God. We eat their flesh and drink their blood with each kiss. A fave
Thank you Soren for your gracious feedback. Thank you for your fave as well, that is an honor coming from you.
You are most welcome Katie a pleasure
Wonderful poem on love for all Katie.

The song depicts love as an act of nourishment and healing, where body and soul merge in a sensual, almost ritualistic experience that oscillates between tenderness and elemental strength. Expertly written!
