Notice of absence from Tom Dylan
Sorry if there is a delay in responses. Sometimes life gets in the way. As John Lennon said, life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

I’m taking back my books
and the bands we shared,
taking back the music,
the memories of the gigs.
The meals we enjoyed in restaurants
become a table for one in my mind.
I am taking it all back.
I am standing on the beach
we once walked along together,
and drawing a line in the sand,
and staking a claim
on the past
my present,
my future
and myself.

Relationships like the sand leave marks that with time are faded and erased but memories remain and fade more slowly. A strong write about a decision made and a present to live. Well done Tom
Thanks so much, Soren. Really appreciated.
My pleasure
I love the way you claim your past, present, and future all at once—raw, clear, and unflinching.
There’s power in the simplicity; every line carries a weight you can feel.
Thanks so much, my friend. Really appreciate your comments.
Well done
Thanks for your comments.
Tom, there’s real resolve in this piece. The memories start heavy…books, music, restaurants, the places two lives once overlapped. But by the time we reach the beach and that line in the sand, the tone shifts into something stronger. Not bitterness…just reclaiming the ground beneath your own feet. Beautifully done, my friend. I hope all is well. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Exactly what I meant, Tristan. Not angry or bitter, just doing my own thing. Thanks for your comments. Really appreciated.
Rock on! Exactly! I know the feeling, my friend! most welcome!
Rock on, indeed, mate! 🙂

Cheers, Andy. Appreciated.
So full of sadness & loss .. filled with memories, opportunities & endless possibilities stacked on a sandy and shifting shore .. Enjoyed .. 😎👍
Thanks a lot for your comments, Neville. Means a lot. Cheers, Tom.
Icely written.
Thanks for your comments.
Why would you do that if I may ask. Is it unrequited love 😔🤔
It was more about friends drifting apart, growing distant from each other.
That’s sad, and it hits hard and hurts for a long time
Hope reconciliation happens
